One of the most common illusions I encounter is the idea that you will get to a place where you have no problems, your life and weight is perfect, and you’re peaceful and happy all the time.
In other words, you and your life are now a finished and fabulous project.
This is such a damaging belief and there are entire industries that want to keep you in this lie. As long as you're alive, you will have issues and challenges to deal with. This is what it means to be human. Our obstacles, pain, and challenges are how we grow and
learn.
Life is a series of moments. Some are good, some bad, many are in-between. They are all a beautiful part of the mosaic of life and what creates the whole masterpiece. You can’t have the good without the bad. All moments are meant for your growth.
When you’re going through some rough
patches or feeling down or discouraged, know that this time is temporary and it will pass. When you’re happy and going through good times, be grateful, for they too will pass. Life is impermanent and ever-changing, and so are you. When you cling to any experience or feeling you suffer.
Stay present and be open to whatever experience life is trying to give you. Don’t deny, avoid, repress, or
try to stuff it down with food. Allow it to be. Get curious about what life, intuition, and your feelings are trying to teach you and be willing to take action on the guidance they give you.
This is what it means to be a student of the game of life... and as long as you’re alive, you will never
graduate.

Life is a game. The only requirement is to show up with your full presence and participate to the best of your ability. The only way to lose is to die knowing you didn't give it your best
shot.
