Hi ,
You were meant to fly. Remain in your cocoon long enough and it will crystallize, turning your wings leaden and imprisoning your spirit. Burst forth from your cocoon and spread your wings before it’s too late to fly.

Losing weight is never a big enough goal; it is only a starting point, a gateway, to pursue a bigger, more evolved life. On an energetic level, people with eating disorders and compulsive eating issues are blocking their own growth. They resist change and their own natural evolution.
Unconsciously, many are afraid to move forward; they are energetically stuck. Many remain emotionally immature because eating has been their main way of coping with life. When a person does this, they pay a heavy price with an unlived life, obesity and its related diseases. I find this tendency in many of my weight loss and emotional eating clients. They stubbornly resist change and cling to food and weight as comfort and protection. To resist change is to go
against the flow of life and to suffer.
In many instances, obesity and emotional eating issues can be viewed as a kind of developmental delay, in that many people choose to stay stuck and childlike in a dependent relationship with food. Food is often a substitute and metaphor for Mother, and they have yet to emotionally leave home and separate from her.
Fat can be viewed as a representation of the shadow self: full of unlived life and untapped potential, a repository of hunger, disowned selves, repressed feelings, fears, and deep longings. Sadly, some will never have the courage to mine this mother lode, and instead, will seek to hide themselves through isolation, and/or try to merge with whatever substance, activity, or person they can find.
What is needed is a new relationship to one's self and body. To see the body as the divine vehicle it is, and use it as the tool for divine transformation that it is truly intended to be. We all possess a divine spark that is waiting to be ignited by the flame of consciousness.
The only true protection and comfort in this world is divine intelligence, which some may call God. When we align ourselves with our higher energies, and learn to support our own evolution, we will suffer far less. A person who aligns with their evolutionary energy will drop the weight much faster and easier, and will begin to tap into their soul purpose, intuition and true motivation, which will propel them forward to a life beyond food and weight
obsession.
To lose weight permanently, one must understand the energetics of the spiritual body, as well as the physical body. Permanent weight loss is more than just calories in and calories out. This is not to imply that calories don't count, they do, it's just that the body’s energy system is far more powerful than recognized by most exercise and weight loss programs or even our medical profession.
Oriental medicine and yoga have long recognized the subtle energy current running through the body known as kundalini. This is the life force of the body that mostly lays dormant and serpent like at the base of the spine. All people have some kundalini flowing in them, yet, in most people the flow of this energy is partially blocked at the various chakras or energy centers, located throughout the spinal column.
Kundalini is the energy of true spiritual transformation, for this evolutionary energy has the power to transcend all other systems in the body. One could call this the energetics of grace, because in its highest capacity it is the energy of miracles. Kundalini can also be called soul power, for in activating one's kundalini, one unlocks one's soul power and connects with one's soul's purpose.
It is only when we address this deeper energy that we experience integration of psyche and soma. This is why diet and exercise alone very seldom leads to permanent weight loss. An inner transformation must occur to keep a person from returning to their old habits. When one experiences a shift in consciousness, the old ways appear and feel awfully limiting.
When we tap into our evolutionary energy, we experience integration of the mind, body and spirit. We become whole. To lose weight permanently, and put an end to emotional eating, one needs to become more whole and integrated. Most overeating, and subsequent obesity, is the result of a fragmented state of consciousness.
Without spiritual energy or expansion, there can be no real growth. When the divine spark roars into a spiritual bonfire, a person becomes lit from within and can achieve their true potential in life. This is what the human journey was designed for. Life was never meant to be only about survival, mindless pursuit of pleasure, and the accumulation of wealth.
Integration can only come about by incorporating some sort of mind/body practice such as yoga, ecstatic dance, meditation, prayer, art, chanting, breath work, tai chi, chi kung, mindful walking or some combination of these methods. This lays the proper foundation, and gets a person's life force or kundalini energy moving forward and upward.
This process is known as ascension. Ascension can increase the heat of the body and speeds up one's metabolic processes, enabling one to transcend one's former physical and spiritual limits. The purpose of ascension is to transmute the energy of the ego (fear) into love (one's true essence). Only then can a true weight loss evolution occur, for this develops the consciousness needed to allow and make permanent changes.
Willpower can only take a person so far; when we enlist the help of our higher energies, we find the strength to move mountains. As our spirits ascend upward, we become less identified with our egoic mind and body (our thoughts and physical desires), and more aligned with our spiritual light body. We are then filled with the true lightness of being.
The goal is to experience an unfolding of one's true self while discovering one's true appetite and passion for life, thus becoming more integrated and whole. This is the only real diet ever needed.
We surrender our old ways of being, which meant separation, to be reborn in our wholeness. We may never be thin or have the perfect body we have dreamed of, yet we fully inhabit our bodies and feel comfortable in our own skin. We find contentment and happiness there and this is enough, for we have truly come home to ourselves.
Instead of making a New Year’s Resolution that includes yet another dead-end diet, choose to love and accept yourself as you are right now and resolve to assist your evolution by harnessing the spiritual energies within you. You see, you don’t have to solve your weight problem, all you need is a shift in consciousness and you will transcend your need to overeat, and then your body will naturally follow suit by releasing the weight.
This is what it means to live a grace filled life.
Here’s to a grace filled evolution in 2020!
Cheers!
