I prayed and asked God for the strength to handle what was to come. I practiced acceptance and tried to take one day at a time. A spiritual program had taught me to accept life on life’s terms.
I would have to wait two weeks to meet with a specialist who would tell me what stage of the disease I was in. I took long walks out in nature to stay grounded. During this time, I created a lot of art which helped me calm me. I reached out to my closest friends and family for support and I was so grateful for my clients because focusing on them helped
take my mind off of what was happening to me.
As the days I approached I had two apts. One to find out if my breast lump was malignant and the other with the disease specialist. I tried my hardest to be calm.
The breast lump turned out to be benign. Thank-god. Now I had to face my fate with the disease specialist.
He looked at the results of all my new tests and informed me I didn’t have anything wrong with me. My organs looked fine. The other tests had been false positives.
At first, I had a hard time believing him. Then a wave of relief and then gratitude washed over me. I wasn’t going to have to undergo those nasty treatments after all!
Since this news, I feel I’ve been given a second chance at life. I’m so grateful for my health and all the good in my life.
So many of us take our health for granted but at any time our health status can change and we could get a phone call that could change our lives forever.
Don’t wait until something like this happens. Health is wealth. Without good health you really can’t fully enjoy your life.
Take good care of yourself and thank-you for being in my life!
