As the year comes to a close, I always spend some time in self-reflection, looking at what I've accomplished in the past year and what I want to focus on in the coming
year.
In 2020, I learned how to watercolor and it has been my main focus for the past 4 years. It takes a good 10 years to master watercolor, but I feel I'm now at a place where I can paint the things in my imagination and they turn out looking the way I want them to.
Since 2020, I have been doing the emotional eating coaching part time. I've been doing this work online since
2006 and it was nice to be able to take a bit of a break from it and focus on something else. During this time, I created over 400 paintings and 5 online art courses.
As I did less personal coaching one thing stood out for me. I missed working one on one with clients. I feel my greatest gift is working with people on a deep level. The art courses were fun to do but I wasn't working directly with people. The courses weren't live, they
were self-paced.
So, in the coming year I have decided to do more one on one coaching work with people and expand my services into some new areas.
I have been a student of the tarot for over 35 years now. I really enjoy it. I find it helps give me clarity about my life and situations. It also helps me to tap into my intuition and spirituality.
I'm currently getting certified to be a tarot reader. I want to incorporate the cards into my life coaching practice as well as
offer readings to people. I hope to be offering readings by the beginning of the year.
I'm also using my art to design my own deck of oracle cards. I've included a few examples. Oracle cards have become as popular as tarot cards and they are much more beginner friendly. They are different than tarot cards in that they don't have a complicated system and structure around them.
They can be used in simple readings, used with the tarot for additional clarity, used as meditation aids, and some people pull a card or two daily as a way of gaining insights into their life.
It's my hope that you too will spend some time in self-reflection and focus on what you'd like to manifest in the coming year. For many of you, that might include a new relationship with food and a slimmer
body.
