These are the types of questions that can start the new year in the right direction. They can lead you to create new goals that are effective. Most New Year's resolutions aren't. People often create big, vague, sweeping goals such as, "I'm going to lose weight." To be successful, goals need to be broken down into a process, with clear definable steps.
SMART Goals are a great example of this. SMART is an acronym that stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound. SMART Goals are a goal-setting technique that helps ensure that objectives are clear and attainable within a specific time frame.
Here's what each letter of the acronym stands for:
- Specific: The goal should be simple, sensible, and significant.
- Measurable: The
goal should be meaningful and motivating, and there should be a way to measure progress.
- Achievable: The goal should be realistic and possible to complete or maintain within the set time frame.
- Relevant: The goal should align with values and long-term goals
and objectives.
- Time-Bound: The goal should be set within an appropriate time frame.
If you would like to gain clarity, create some new goals for yourself, and develop a plan to achieve this, I would love to be your guide. I am now accepting clients for the new year.
